ABOUT THIS GROUND

The middle cut from the same 19 June 1987 pass — roll 419, frames 048–061 — centred at 35°58'40"N, north of Ver. I and south of Ver. III. All three come off one flight line at 39,900 feet and 1:58,000; what changes between them is which stretch of ground the crop holds. Conifer forest reads deep red and maroon on colour infrared film, and the meadow floors read pale.
